Teulada
Teulada is a region with an old wine-growing tradition and it is located in
Marina Alta,
Alicante. Its old quarter is situated in the inland of the province of
Alicante, surrounded by a green landscape planted with vineyards. Santa Catalina´s Church was enclosed by a wall in the old times, but now stands out in the city centre and it is a good example of Gothic architecture.
The main attraction in Teulada's coast is
Moraira, an important
Costa Blanca tourist centre with 8 km of beaches and coves to enjoy diving, such as L'Ampolla, Platgetes and Portet.
L'Ampolla has a solid and large defence tower called '
the Castle of Moraira'.
The natural port and picturesque littoral is the ideal place for water sports like scuba sailing, diving, etc...
This region is also known for its exquisite wines of excellent quality, specially the
White Marina Alta and
Muscatel.
